In the rack

  • Route the two front-panel DI inputs to channels 1 and 2 so your keys or bass player can plug straight in without adapters — save the rear XLRs on 3 and 4 for the mic sources you've already cabled.
  • Use the variable impedance control intentionally during soundcheck, not as a set-and-forget switch: ribbon overheads often respond well to lower impedance settings, while a dynamic snare mic can open up noticeably at the higher end.
