IEM Rig is operated by Lord of Rigs LLC (Pennsylvania, USA), the data controller for everything below. The short version: you can plan a whole rig without an account, we don't sell data, and everything we do collect exists to run the product.
What we collect
- No account: your rigs live in your browser's local storage. We see anonymous product analytics (pages, feature events, coarse geo from IP) — used to fix and improve the product.
- With an account: your Google sign-in identity (email, name, avatar), your cloud-saved rigs, and anything you publish to the gallery.
- With Pro: your billing plan and period dates. Card numbers never touch our servers — payment runs entirely through Polar, our merchant of record.
- AI features: when you use them (rack scan, gear questions, rig generation), the input you provide is sent to Anthropic's API to produce the answer. Our usage ledger stores tokens, cost, and timing — never your prompts or images.
Who processes it
| Processor | What for |
|---|---|
| Supabase | Database & authentication (accounts, rigs) |
| Vercel | Hosting and delivery |
| Polar / Stripe | Payments, receipts, tax — merchant of record |
| PostHog | Product analytics |
| Sentry | Error monitoring |
| Anthropic | AI features (inputs you submit to them) |
| Resend | Email you asked for (renewal reminders, receipts, newsletter) |
What we don't do
- No selling or renting personal data. No ad networks.
- No emails without a reason: transactional mail, or lists you joined — every marketing email has one-click unsubscribe.
- Published rigs show your display name, never your email.
Retention & deletion
Your data stays while your account does. Deleting your account (self-serve on the account page) removes your profile, rigs, and scan history; billing records are retained as required for accounting, unlinked from your identity where possible. Local-storage rigs are yours to clear anytime.
Your rights (EU/UK and elsewhere)
You can access, correct, export, or erase your data — most of it self-serve, the rest by emailing iemrig.com@gmail.com. EU/UK users: our lawful bases are contract (running your account and subscription), legitimate interest (product analytics, abuse prevention), and consent (marketing email). You may complain to your local data authority, though we'd appreciate the chance to fix it first.
Cookies
Essential cookies keep you signed in. Analytics respects your browser where feasible; we don't run third-party ad cookies.
