Privacy Policy
Last updated: April 29, 2026
IEM Rig is a free browser-based rack-planning tool. This policy explains what data we collect, why we collect it, and how to contact us with questions or removal requests.
What we collect
- Account data: when you sign in with Google we receive your email address, display name, and profile picture. We store these in our user-profile table to label your rigs and submissions.
- Rig data: rigs you create and save are stored in our database under your user ID so they sync across devices. Public rigs you publish are visible to anyone with the link.
- Submission data: gear submissions (component name, ports, photos) are stored so moderators can review and merge them into the public catalog.
- Usage logs: API endpoints record which user made which request along with a timestamp for rate-limiting and abuse prevention. We do not log request bodies, photos, or AI prompts.
- Analytics: Vercel Speed Insights records anonymized Core Web Vitals (page-load timings) so we can improve performance. No personally identifying information is sent.
What we do NOT collect
- We don't track you across other sites.
- We don't sell, rent, or share your data with advertisers.
- We don't store passwords (auth runs through Google OAuth).
- We don't retain photos uploaded for the rack-scan feature beyond the analysis request itself.
Cookies
We use Supabase's authentication cookies to keep you signed in. We don't use third-party advertising or tracking cookies.
Third-party services
- Supabase — database + auth. Their privacy policy: supabase.com/privacy.
- Anthropic — powers the rack-scan AI feature. Photos are sent to Anthropic's API for analysis only. Their policy: anthropic.com/privacy.
- Vercel — hosting + speed insights. Policy: vercel.com/legal/privacy-policy.
- Google — sign-in. Policy: policies.google.com/privacy.
Your rights
You can delete your account and all associated data at any time from your account page. Deletion removes your profile row, all rigs you own, and any submissions you authored. Public rigs you published are also deleted.
To request a copy of your data or to ask a question, email hello@iemrig.com.
Children
IEM Rig is not directed at children under 13. We don't knowingly collect data from anyone under 13.
Changes
We'll update the date at the top of this page when this policy changes. Material changes will be announced in-app before they take effect.
