Flip to the Back view and every unit shows its real rear panel. To connect two pieces of gear, click a jack, then click a glowing one. The first click arms the jack: a cable stays seated in it, every port that can take that signal lights up and says its name, and a strip at the top tells you what to do next. The second click lands the cable.
- Prefer dragging? Press and hold a jack and drag to another one — the cable follows your pointer and snaps home when you get close. Both gestures do the same thing; use whichever feels right, and you can start a drag from a jack you already armed.
- Changed your mind? Click the armed jack again, press Esc, or click empty space. The app always tells you what happened instead of just dropping the cable.
- Compatibility is real: XLR out feeds XLR in, Dante talks to Dante, power inlets want power outlets. Incompatible jacks never light up, and clicking one explains why.
- Hover any jack for its identity — name, direction, signal type, and what it’s already patched to. Hover a wire to see both ends.
- Wires route around the rack automatically and persist with the rig — they become the patch list on export.
- Select a wire and delete it like any object; undo covers every wiring move.
